I am probably not the best person to speak about fitness. After all, I fall on and off the weight management bandwagon quite frequently. However, here are a few pointers for those who are interested. Who knows? It just might help you…
1. Drink loads of water.
It goes without saying that water is healthy for us. If you make a point of drinking this throughout your day or drinking water instead of coffee, it will help you stay healthy. You can add some lemon to spruce things up.
2. Schedule walk around times.
Get up more often from your desk. Move around, go for a coffee/tea or a short chat. Anything to get you away from your desk for about a minute. Schedule regular walk around times, just don’t abuse it.
3. Go easy on the coffee
Go easy on the coffee. If you’re like me then you need your coffee breaks quite frequently. Try and mix and match with a healthier option such as green tea if you can stand it.
4. Snack on fruits and healthy things
Snack on fruits and healthy things. The more time you spend working, the more your need for a snack increases. Carrots, cucumbers, healthy nuts should be your go-to option. I know these need a bit more thought than a pack of biscuits or chocolate but in the long run they are healthier.
5. Stay active during lunch times
Use your lunch time to exercise. With most workers having an hour for lunch and companies offering gym facilities. You can maximise this lunch time to clear your head and at the same time stay fit . Go for a run or a long walk, whichever is convenient but keeps you active.
